Psychometry  is perhaps one of the most sensationalized forms of psychic scrying; finding its way into pop culture through television shows like The Medium or episodes and movies that depict channels or mediums helping police solve crimes.  As much as I might wish to have the kind of abilities depicted, using special effects and television wizardry, I can't promise the kind of dramatic results depicted in the media and that is why I do not offer this form of reading as a stand alone service. I will however include a Psychometry reading as part of other divination services.

Psychometry is a psychic ability in which a person can sense or "read" the history of an object by touching it. Such a person can receive impressions from an object by holding it in his/her hands or, perhaps, touching it to the forehead. Such impressions can be perceived as images, sounds, smells, tastes - even emotions.
Psychometry is a form of scrying - a psychic way of "seeing" something that is not ordinarily seeable. Some people can scry using a crystal ball, black glass or even the surface of water. With psychometry, this extraordinary vision is available through touch. . . A medium uses the energy charge retained and held by the object to sense information, images, feelings and/or to connect with the energy of a person or spirit. Psychometry can also trigger intuitive messages from spirit guides for and about the living.

I work predominantly as an empathic medium, receiving spirit messages directly, as well as through Psychometry-interpreting emotional vibrations and energy emanations that often trigger visual images, tastes, physical sensations, and smells. 

I do not always encounter a spirit presence which is able to communicate directly with me. However, the stronger the energy, or emotional charge being held within the object used for a reading or the location being read, the more impressions I will receive. This is why the service itself is offered on a donation basis, with a travel fee requirement to cover my expenses. 

Psychometry results depend on a multitude of factors:

• the presence of spirit, whether a spirit presents itself to communicate
• the medium's level of sensitivity to the energy and spirit communication
• the openness of the medium or channel on the day of the reading
• the strength of the energies residing in the object, which may be weak or strong, depending on the proximity of use to the owner.
• The energies in the location being read. Time can be an influencing factor as can other energetic events at the site preceding a visit.

Considerations when selecting an object

• Has the object had more than one owner or multiple users? Who was the last owner using the object. That is the energy which will come through.
• When was the object last in the possession of the departed or previous owner? Worn articles often carry the strongest residual energy, especially jewelry and frequently used items. Time can be an influencing factor, as can how the object has been stored.
• Has the object undergone a cleansing; such as Smudging or being buried in earth, that may have washed away the energy emanations or residual energies left by the person (such as is done with crystals, to clear or heal a stone that has been used in healing work.)
